William B. Zackowski SR., age 85, of Temple, died Sunday in the Berks Heim. He was the widower of Carmella (D'Amore) Zackowski who died in 2002.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late William and Ottilia (Wernig) Zackowski.

After 25 years of being service manager for the Keeler Company, Reading, he became self employed in the industrial controls industry.

He was a Navy veteran of WWII.

William was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.

He is survived by 5 sons: William B. Zackowski JR., husband of Pat Zackowski of Corona, CA, David J., husband of Lynn Zackowski of Charlottesville, VA., Robert L., husband of Cindy Zackowski of Pottstown, Michael W., husband of Vickie Zackowski of Elysburg and Jeffrey J., husband of Lisa Zackowski of Muhlenberg Twp.

There are also 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his very special caregiver Karleen Jones.

The Funeral will begin on Thursday at 9:15 am in the Milkins Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 am in Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale.

There will be a viewing Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 pm in the Milkins Funeral Home, Inc., Temple.

The family requests contributions to be made to a charity of their choice.
