Robert R. Steely, 72, of Temple died March 3, 2010 at 12:45 AM in his Alsace Township residence.

He was the husband of Janice E. (Drumheller) Steely.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Herbert W. and Carrie A. (Dunkelberger) Steely.

He was employed for 25 years as an instructor for Lincoln Technical Institute, Allentown retiring in 2003.

A 1955 graduate of Reading High School, he was a member of Reading Central English Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Other survivors include 1 daughter Pamela A. wife of Anthony P. DeLong of Topton and 1 brother Norman Steely of Reading. There are 2 grandsons Christopher A. and Travis R. DeLong and 2 great grandchildren Ryan C. and Elizabeth M. Delong, all of Jamestown, NY.

He was predeceased by 7 brothers and sisters.

Memorial services will be Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 4:00 PM in Kingdom Hall of Reading Central English Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses 360 N. Third Street Reading with Mr. Norman Lucas officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time in Kingdom Hall.
