Karl J. “Trooper” Wanshop 73 formerly of Temple died January 31, 2010 in the Sinking Spring residence of his sister Esther C. Leiby wife of Donald Leiby.

Born in Temple he was a son of the late Henry O. and Mary R. (LeVan) Wanshop.

He was employed as a parcel post worker for Pomeroy’s Department Store, Reading and Prospectus Berco, Shillington until his retirement.

A graduate of Muhlenberg Township High School, he was a life long member of Christ United Church of Christ, Temple.

He is also survived by 3 nieces and 2 nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 8:00 PM in Milkins Funeral Home, Inc. 4914 Kutztown Road Temple with the Rev. Dr. Harry Serio officiating. Burial in Friedens Cemetery, Oley will be at the convenience of the family.

Friends may call Wednesday from 7:00 PM until service time in the funeral home.
